This thread is useless. We can't help you. We don't know your circumstances or your history, etc. The only real answer we can give you is that you may or may not get your account back.
PS: You probably got banned because they thought you were a farming bot.

OP wasn't asking for help, just wanted our opinion on his chances of recovering his account. My opinion is "we don't know" as no one has any statistics. Sometimes wrongly banned players come back here and tell us they got reinstated, but usually they don't bother.

I was banned wrongfully over at TOPK about a month ago. First thing to do, is contact support. If you don't have any luck over 1 week, then go to gaile's page in wiki and post there.
I can tell you that if you truly are innocent, they will also look for other things that might cause you to be banned. Like any scamming, or any other activity against the eula. Also, during the mass ban of 3700 people there were several people who raptor farmed often that got banned saying that they were bots, and some of them never got their accounts back. The problem is that certain characteristics of what you do in regards to timing and what commands you have, what order your skills are in, may make you a candidate for being banned. Their test may be sensitive to catch bots, but not specific enough to weed out the false positives. I have posted on gaile's page about this in particular. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedb...0823-003399.5D I want to encourage to tell support to be vigilant in developing a good false positive test to get good rule abiding players from getting banned. Since I got banned at TOPK, I have decided to stop farming vaettirs, raptors, topk or any other solo farm that is easy to do in a short period of time. The only solo farm I do is smites in UW with a W/ME build, which I hope is complicated enough that through the way I play I can show that I'm human and not seem to be a bot to their bot detection schemes. |

It's terrible really, but I can see why Anet might sense suspicion. But it's a game where people play to each of their own enjoyment.
If someone wants to repeatedly kill the same group of enemies for 'fun' then a ban shouldn't be the outcome (I know some are because of potential bots, I can see that). I just mean looking at it from a general viewpoint. Measures are already put in place by Anet with various nerfs, drop rates reduced etc to hopefully stop exploits during farming an item or items, but to accidentally, or purposely ban someone from a game because they are doing something over and over is extremely unfair - combined with them not doing a thing about it. |

I got a yellow worded announcement in my chat box about bots and rmts and it said we have banned 3700 or 000 something like that.I wasn't even farming as went on a run to get collectors item with henchies in toe.
I asked friend if he got it and said no. |

we have reviewed your case again and can confirm that your account has been rightfully banned for botting. Therefore we won't unban your account and won't accept any further appeals regarding this. Thank you for your understanding. o well move onto another game i suppose |

Well, ziplex, me and a few others were told that they had evidence we were using 3rd party programs, but when they actually looked, they made a mistake.
I encourage you to continue to email them if you really didn't use a 3rd party program. Look at my page on wiki and you'll see the crap responses they sent me before they unbanned me. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:Light_and_Peace |

The problem, of course, is that an efficient farming pattern is the same whether you are a real person in control or a bot program in control. (Several years back we had a forum member (mod?) whose forum title was "Banned from Farming," or something similar, due to the number of times he had been reinstated.) It is almost impossible to differentiate between the two. The best advice is to alter your patterns periodically so that you are showing a more "human" profile to the detection programs.
But yes, keep emailing, but remain polite. They aren't required to respond to messages full of verbal abuse.

anet enjoys banning it's players for well... playing the game. in short, don't farm popular area's or you'll get the ban hammer. i only run with guildies or pugs and never solo... been safe so far. i highly doubt you'll get your acc back. time to move on to another game as you said :/

Talk to a friend in chat while farming. They can pull chat logs to see you were having a conversation at the time you were farming. Kinda hard for a bot to do that...

The fact that the OP of this topic stated after he got a reply was, oh well time to move to a new game, would suggest he did do something wrong, instead of fighting for the account back. Whether or not hes guilty is one thing, but with Anet getting to many innocent players banned and just throwing them back with the, we have closed the case tough luck, makes me really wonder about buying GW2. |

I no longer farm raptors. In fact I farm very little, not that I really need to. But farming raptors was fun; however it is now fun that I cannot risk having anymore. The only time I fire up a farming build now is for Nick the Traveler. Like the rest of my guild, I am on once or twice a week at most.
Problem here is that all GW farming is for drops, or chest runs. It is really not set up for farming. So it all gets very repetitious. In a game like WoW you can go out and mine, or collect herbs, or fish. And then further amuse yourself with crafting or playing with the Auction House. Or go adventure through an area hoping for a rare drop. In WoW your character is always a farming build. To be sure, WoW will ban you for botting. But they also have live GMs and they do not make mistakes very often. I really hope that GW 2 has much more for those of us who like to farm. If it does not, WoW will still win in the end. |
